Politics got dirtier, funnier and more comical when people who are suppose to know better reduce themselves to laughing stocks. Hahahahahahahaha! I remember my piece titled; 'I am still laughung' Indeed I am still laughing.
Preparing towards my own parliamentary primaries in January, I took keen interest in orphan constituency primaries to draw lesson for mine. IT IS A LESSON my daddy says. There were several shockers in these primaries since November 19 2011. These shockers make analysis a bit more difficult and good reasoning more remote. Remote in the sense that one can not just look at any result and draw immediate conclusion that this is what the delegates considered.
On Saturday November 19 2011, the biggest political shock for me and especially key senior politicians and Eastern Regional executives was unleashed when Akropong costituency delegates voted for their women organizer to beat their chairman with just two (2) votes. Biggest political shock because it was more surprising than FONKAR 3.9%; In the later, every Ghanaian expected a lose for FONKAR though not with such a humiliating margin but in Okorase 2011, people expected the chairman to win with about 80%.
'Mama' paid for virtually every expenditure of the constituency and supplied community needs but delegates were looking at something else. What were they looking at/for? Some of the reasons were funny if you asked me. Refusal to answer phone calls and inaccessibility were some of the reasons I was given later on. So I asked and keep asking what I should do.
Buffer stock director; most hailed minister of agriculture; hon kwesi ahwoi was a disaster and so was Akuamoah Boateng. My own comrade Adongo was floored but comrade Mutala won. Brother Livingstone took New Juaben North like nobody's business vying against his former regional boss who made the system so hot for him to resign. Stone has not got a bicycle but he was the delegates choice. What do delegates want. A regional boss or a resigned district boss? Delegates; a set of complex individuals. Trumpeting your own personal qualities makes noise in the ears of these 'HONOURABLES' They have their own criteria and they make their own judgements and decisions.
Who is a car owner to a delegate? What is a car to a delegate? vanity oh vanity. If a delegate's mind is made up on one candidate, the others mere presence annoys him/her. I am pretty sure that when Zita realized that Akuaku had no car, she thought she had an urge over her. She should have asked me to tell her what happened at the elephants' camp in my constituency. A fuel dealer, supposed not to have gone to school before stood against an MA holder. The message was level of education when in actual fact, majority of the delegates were the fuel dealer's 'mates' The result was 86 for MA holder and 625 for fuel dealer.
I am busily going round my constituency interacting with my delegates and constituents. I have been trying to find out what they expect from me and all. I had a call from a friend who funnily asked; do you have a car? I wanted to know what he meant by that question and he told me about Zita's asertion that Akuaku should not have won because she has not got a car. I was shocked. So she went into the race with a car owner's mentality that all drivers are her slaves and should take orders from her?
No wonder she could not do well as a minister in two seperate ministries. Car owner losing against Johnny walker? How many of the delegates came in their own cars? If she went campaigning that Akuaku had no car, did she not think she was refering to all delegates who had no cars of their own? Aspirants who feel others without their level of wealth should not be voted for should ask if the delegates have their level of wealth. I am enjoying this as comic relief. Concerto cantata after a hard day's hustle.
I rest my case. I am in my boat cruising to Madagascar to meet my friends; the delegates - chairman; the big position that displays its worth at conferences. Secretary, women organizer and youth organizer of each branch are the most important personalities in this yuletide.
MERY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY NEW YEAR and DOUBLE DOUBLE PRIMARIES for 2012.

POVERTY DOETH ALL THINGS
Contrary to this old saying that "Money doeth all things.." I am encouraged to feel that "Poverty doeth all things" I know you have jumped to a hasty conclusion that I am crazy. Why should you think like this? Please stop thinking that way otherwise your thinking will be placed under poverty induction. Poverty doeth all things indeed.
What you forgot to inquire is whether all the things poverty doeth are positive or negative. I am happy to announce to you that it's a mixed bag of good and bad things with positivity leading the chat. The top ten events chat will usually have about 8 top items done out of one's own will happily.
We are so used to this situation that living poor itself is luxury. Anytime I visited one of my very poor friends, I have more, realistic and nature filled fun than my rich friends. Do you understand this? Open your mind and read these two scenarios.
I visited a friend at Tapa Alavanyo to introduce him to my all time dream project, cage culture (in-situ aquaculture). Due to the poor communication network, I sent him a message three days earlier through a fish monger I met at Tapa Abotoase. On arrival, I met him waiting along the river for me beaming with smiles. His broad smile was enough to infect me with chronic smiles through out my 6 hour stay with him.
The smile was not the only natural gift I received. Efo Agbevivi welcomed me at home with a calabash of pure, chemical free water. It did not end there. There was 'sodabi', local dry gin distilled from palm wine. It burns the chest and forces a frown on your face but forces a smile after spitting. All along we have not had any discussion at all. All the above was part of the welcome process. I even forgot the long and 'violent' hug when I got out of the canoe. It was refreshing.
We then proceeded to discuss my mission. His interest in the idea and the level of understanding of his fishing job was amazing. His questions and follow up questions were hectic than any formal interview section I ever went through. Not even the 13 man panel interview in the hands of the NDC in 2009 when I vied for the DCEship of Biakoye District. After the serious academic exercise with Efo, I was put before a mountain of banku with pepper and a basketful of fish.
My shirt was soaked in sweat because I had to dig my portion of the banku mountain whilst Efo also dug his. Immediately I pulled the last layer, I shouted 'ele afima haaa'? (are you there) to which he responded in the affirmative. After the competitive food show, we placed some 'lazy' chairs under some airy trees and enjoyed short sleep.
Your next mistake is the conclusion that I am recommending poverty, over eating and sleep. Another is that you are concluding that everyone living along the lake is poor. The owner of one beautiful storey building, a mini super market, 2 large motored canoes, 2 buses and a kia truck at Abotoase lives at Alavanyo. There are such other investors like him living along rivers and so many poorer people living in Accra and Kumasi.
Not all is well because my friend's wish as he expressed to me was to own a phone and mount a solar panel on his mud/thatch house. These he did not have because his work as he put it is hand-to-mounth. The man is enjoying living without his desires happily because poverty has presented it to him. I bought him a small phone with a registered sim card, well charged to last him 3 days at least before he sends it to Abotoase for charging. Expression of gratitude by my friend was shocking. GHc 30.00 phone to merit such expression of gratitude was surprising. Poverty fuels gratitude also.
I have a lot of rich friends who look at you with a lot of disrespect and wrong assumptions. What is maturity? The poor Efo asked questions on the verbal business proposal but my rich friend tells you to write a proposal and tells you there is no time to read yet. Poverty teaches respect and giving. Sharing and mutuality.
It is good to be knowledgeable and ambitious as me but who are you if people believe in you and you do not have money to support your words. I asked a friend, will you support my bid to be the mp of my constituency? why not? He assured. How much will you give me? I quizzed. I don't have money ooo, you know if I have money, I will give you. He teased. This guy above has a lot of money but will not give freely as Efo did with the little he had.
What I want friends and family to understand is that we all have dreams and aspiration but there is the need for people to believe in us and support us. I am insisting that all my most helpful pals are not rich. In their poverty they still squeezed water out of stone to get me some cash to pursue my dreams.
I will not bore you but my friends and family, help me thank some poor friends. Thank you to the Gyampos, Douglas, Evelyn, Ofosu, Adisam, Ayambah, Ofori-Dansohs, Dwomoh and others. You made some space in poverty to help me in cash, kind, encouragement and direction.

STILL LAUGHING
Hahahahahaha; hahahahahaha..... I can not stop laughing at these posts on my wall on facebook. There were three posts. One was mind boggling and I wonder why the young man asked such a question on facebook when he is aware people with the right answers do NOT know a thing about facebook. Excuse my assertion if it is not true.
"When is Tapaman celebrating our festival?" Is Nana Kwame Asante on facebook? That was my first question when I saw the post. Or is Okyeame Darkwa on facebook? These are the men with answers. They are not on facebook. A revolution to bring them to a youth forum to say when, will not be a bad idea. I am not requesting violence. An assembly of anxious Tapa youth ready to experience a vibrant Tapa, inviting Nana and his elders or visiting Nana and his elders to find out what is the agenda for Tapa in the next 5years is not a bad idea. Think about this.
The answer given by Kobra is most inappropriate. I do not quite remember which chief was behind 'FRIKOOSO' but I know it was not Nana Sasu. Nana Sasu will remain in history as one of the best chiefs ever to rule Tapaman but he was not responsible for the festival I experienced.
There was a profane picture on my wall by Sammy, it was unfortunate. I may be rotten but not an exhibitionist of profanity. My inbox can receive anything but my wall must be respected because my children, their friends and passers by visit my wall.
This should be enough for the day because Yaw Nyarko has created a good platform for me to laugh and straighten some errors on Tapa but I am still laughing. Why? Oh, why? The same Yaw Nyarko (Yaw Mekoe) has given me reason to laugh my head off. I am not comfortable because people in my office are not sure all is well. I am ok. I am just fine.
Hallucination! Day dreaming! High fever! Interestingly, he has got his kind to sing that chorus with him. 'This is Mills' last budget and rule' and somebody screams amen. My GOD! what is wrong with you? I can't blame Yaw because he operates from an NPP sub-office. Bro, speak your mind but be careful it doesn't send you to your grave. Truth is, you have no reason to belong where you are now.
Brothers and sisters if there is any specific reason why this is Mills' last budget and rule, let's debate it because I am still laughing at my cousin; YAW and his friends. Hahahahahahahahahahaha........

MY HANDS ARE TIED AND MY LIPS SEALED
Things I find very difficult to talk about usually have to do with pastors (religious leaders), chiefs and ethnic groups. Any comments I had made with regards to Obinim's misconduct and vandalism (All apologies to V-mates); the abomination of Mr and Mrs Love and the dirty revelations of Akwaboa and others were mere passing comments. There have been real issues within and outside my traditional area Tapa that required plain talk but for the sake of peace and maintenance of cultural values and respect, I swept the issues under the carpet.
Day-in and day-out, I learn new lessons (credit to my dad; IT IS A LESSON). I now understand why elders especially chiefs are not permitted to play 'DAME' (game of draught). It is full of insults and insinuations. This can only be likened to present day democracy where speech is "FREE" If one wants to price his statements, that is left to himself; a friend said. What I look at before writing or talking is ignored completely by others who see caution as cowardice. Hmmmmm, we can talk appropriately.
What am I saying? I am saying that when church leaders goof in their attempt to meddle in partisan politics, some people like myself are forced to come out of our shells. It is even more painful when it has to do with my own church the Roman catholic Church, and the highest decision making body at that; the Bishops Conference. Three things they talked about; 1. SHS, 2. CSSPS and 3. Biometric.
Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle in an interview on Joy fm said, 'education is being toyed with by those who should know better' Question is, who are those? It is most annoying when he says that, there was no need for the government to hurriedly revert to the three-year SHS system when an evaluation of the four-year system had not been done to determine whether it served its purpose. What purpose is he talking about? What evaluation was made on the three year system before changing to four years? Is he aware of the Anamoah-Mensah committee's report?
In today's world where tomato sale is computerized, it saddens my heart to hear my own leaders call for the abolishing of a computerized system because it is problematic. The Metro Arch bishop had always been politically tilted towards the NPP so I wonder why the conference allowed him to speak on an issue like this one that appears so partisan. The CSSPS was started during the NPP era with a lot of problems; where was Most Rev Palmer-Buckle? The 70%; 30% seperation is a contributor to the aggravated confusion. Fixing the confusion is the solution and not abolishing the whole system. Have we abolished our churches because some pastors are indulging in fornication and adultry? In times past, GCB had very poor network that failed at the end of every month when so many workers report to take their salaries. Did we ask them to go back to the old system? They could only improve upon their network.
Biometric verification is the chorus of the NPP towards election 2012 and now, Most Rev is leading a mass choir of our church to join. I can only plead with the EC to listen and act if they so think that it is the way to a peaceful election 2012. Did any of my revered Fathers listen to the Ata Akyea tape? What did they say about it?
I am begging my most revered priests to be objective in their utterances. Their contribution to the education of Ghana is unquantifiable and so their requests, statements, decisions and inputs towards the growth of education in Ghana can not be undermined by any political party, group or individual but once their statements give them partisan colouration, people will talk.
During the conversion of SSS to SHS, what did they say? During the same conversion that changed the number of years from 3 to 4, what did they say? When the change was done without a commensurate errection of infrastructure, what did they say? When CSSPS started with all the confusion, what did they say? Why now? When coloured voter ID cards were changed to black and white, difficult to see ID cards, what did they say?
My hands are tied to my crucifix and my lips sealed with candles. I dare not read partisan politics into the decision of the highest decision making body of my church. A church I have no intension of ever changing. Thankfully, my action is not a reason for excommunication as is the case in other smaller churches. Bishop! Please forgive your sheep if he has tried to play the sherpherd's role. I am a humble sheep that has a different view point from yours.
All the same, I will attend first mass on Sunday. Have a nice day in the name of God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit. Amen

NANA'S PRAYER FOR ELECTION 2012
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was the candidate in 2008 after winning a congress that was described as a contest of seventeen (17) robbers to elect the most hardened robber by the general secretary of the ruling NDC; Johnson Asiedu Nketia. Before his departure to the UK to meet blasphemous gay prime minister David Cameron, I overhead him say a prayer to God that is worth sharing.
Funnily, the NPP and its supporters before the run-off of election 2008 described H. E. John Evans Atta-Mills as a serial loser for losing elections 2000, 2000; run-off, 2004 and 2008 round one. Fortunately, he can now be described as miraculous election winner. Miraculous because after serially losing, he was almost broke, 'ill' (as his opponents put it) and had a vibrant media against him. In the face of all these and more he won in round two and TAIN. They also described the president as a Rawlings poodle.
Nana Addo was in the presidential primaries of his party in 1996 against ex-president Kufuor but he lost. This world aclaimed freedom fighter was forced to shut up towards the 2004 election where the ex-president was not contested. In the contest of the 17 powerful men, Nana Addo did not win but in the usual NPP stage-manged comedy, Alan Kyeremanten was forced to step down. If only Alan knew his opponent loses steam in run-offs, he would have gone for it. Unfortunately, his giving up for Nana made his supporters lose confidence in him. The result of the NPP's recent primaries is a justification of loss of confidence in Alan from his mistake in the 2007 Arts festival. "NPP ON STAGE 2007" at the Great Hall, Legon.
"Oh Lord my God in heaven, I am going to meet Cameron, what will I say to please Ghanaians without hurting my friend? I don't want to lose election 2012 to retire. I lost in 1996 to Kufuor, in 2003, it was my turn but I did his will by keeping quiet. Lord, I should have been tough like Nana Konadu. Thank you for 2007 because I led and twisted Alan's hand to win. As for that Alan, he is finished. He is so silent I can't believe it. Lord you are powerful. I didn't mean to say all die be die but God, once it is going down well with the people, forgive me and let me benefit from it. Father God, my daddy won so winning is my inheritance; let me enjoy it. The NDC keeps talking about shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sheeeeeeeeee sheeeeeeeeeeeee and the like but father, how can I survive it? My friends and supporters enjoy my speeches but others complain. Bottocks was harmless, fix it was without blemish. but look at how the NDC made it look. Atta is suffering and I will suffer if I should win but God I want to suffer. Atta's suffering is better than mine now. Father, the flight is ready so I will keep talking to you on the plane"
Listening to Nana, I said to myself, this man does not even know what to tell God. What is he going to tell Ghanaians for them to vote for him? God bless our homeland Ghana and leave us in the hands of Evans Atta-Mills because Nana Addo can not help Ghana at all.

WAR MONGERING OR FEAR OF THE OBVIOUS?
Permit me to harmlessly ask why Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said all die-be-die!? I am almost three decades younger than the man Nana Addo but I can tell when a man is desperate. Nana Addo does not want to be labelled as one who wanted to be a president as happened to the late Adu Boahen (May His Soul Rest In Peace). He fought a tough fight in election 1992 but lost to a legend in Ghana politics; a living legend: Ft Lt J. J. Rawlings.
Nana Addo wants to be a president of the Republic of Ghana. As he put it at KNUST, by all means. I guess he is living in a different world where he thinks threats will push majority of Ghanaians to vote for him. The mention of majority has struck a note in my head. Tone or semitone that is. The tune raised by the Red-White-Blue choir master; Jake Obetsebi Lamptey. Akans form the 'majority' and if they have .... in Cote D'Ivoire, why can't we in Ghana? Thankfully, most of the choresters did not sing to the tune. That is the Ghanaian for you; you can not push 'majority' to dance to your tune if it is not danceable.
The rejection of the 'All-Die-Be-Die' mantra led to 'Akans are majority' which was equally rejected by the same majority; then came 'By All Means' which was simply ignored. The NPP and it's leadership not satisfied, are using another channel; Peter 'Mark' Manu to threaten Ghanaians once again.
Hahaaaaaa! I laughed when I heard this on radio. No wonder this chairman could not lead the NPP to victory in 2008. He was busy licensing his gun. He should waste the time left for campaign acquiring and licensing guns for footsoldiers and not guide them to adopt appropriate campaign tactics. Nobody in NDC will pick a gun but we will not sit for anybody from NPP to threaten us with a gun.
If MacManu and Nana Addo have so soon forgotten, this misdirection or is it misconception is what led to the painful murder of the NPP's Dome-Kwabenya chairman; May His Soul Rest In Peace. This man had a gun, armed robbers went to his house, successfully robbed him of his cash, about to leave, he reached for his gun, one of the robbers turned, he dropped the gun, the robber went for it and shot him. As for the gun, you can own; licensed or not. You can also brandish it anytime anywhere but your ability to misuse it as instructed is another matter. Empty barrels, they say, make the most noice.
This also reminds me of an advert by MTN towards the CAN 2008, when the Black Stars skipper said; 'LET THEM COME' in response to an alert by a child, 'THEY ARE COMING' They idea was to prove to fans that he and his mates were ready for whoever but when they came, he was nowhere to be found. He was injured and out. When the NDC is shouting 'WIN' in election 2012, the NPP is shouting 'GUNS & CUTLASSES' They will get to realize rather late that the tools for election 2012 are thumbs, ballot papers and ballot boxes. NDC is preparing over sea, land and air to defend the GOOD NAME OF GHANA.
Election 2012 is a done deal for the sober, God fearing and soft spoken President; His Excellency John Evans Atta-Mills. The threats and war mongering are but display of fear of the obvious. A huge lose for Nana Addo and the NPP. Arrogance does not win elections. Threats can not win you election. I can not imagine how anybody born of a woman can walk to me on election day and ask me to step aside because he believes in All-Die-Be-Die or he is Akan just as I am or he has a gun just like my late grandfather had which has been inherited by my uncle and just as my father has or even because he believes Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo must By-All-Means be a president, for him to tamper with the decision of the people of Ghana/Biakoye/Tapa-Amanya/Asuwa(R.C.Primary). That is the day we will know who thinks what he believes.
If the NPP is blood thirsty and wish for war, they should reconsider their decision because it is a field they can not succeed on. If they are afraid of the obvious, they should go back to the drawing board and get a strategy that will go down well with Ghanaians. We can not be threatened to accepting what we dislike. Nana Addo and his NPP should drop the threats and come again. Think election 2012, think PEACE, think NDC, think Prof. Mills. Eye Zu, Eye za
Nice day fellow Ghanaians.
Nana Addo wants to be a president of the Republic of Ghana. As he put it at KNUST, by all means. NO HEAD(ING)
I am so confused I do not know how to caption this write-up, I chose to call it 'NO HEAD(ING). Is it an issue of people not having the head to reason before their actions or there are so many scenarios of people displaying senselessness I am not able to get a caption.
I wish I could call it 'DRIVER DIES FOOLISHLY' OR 'FOOLISH DRIVER KILLS ANOTHER FOOLISH DRIVER' (Excuse my language). This would have been appropriate if today's accident in front of the National theatre is all there is to talk about. You may not have been previewed to that story. Let me brief you. Two tipper truck drivers collided head on in front of the National Theatre in Accra when they both ignored the STOP sign, resulting in the death of one of them and severe injury to three others. Just a minutes' waiting would have saved a "precious" life.
A pause to look at a situation once again will alter one's decision. An angry reaction to a text message on a sober lady's boyfriend's phone from an ex-girl friend made me drive all the way to Anloga last night. My further anger is not my driving to Anloga tired but reactions to pleas for her to exercise patience and ask questions about the text message. Everybody was insulted including myself. In this case, I would have captioned it; 'PATIENCE IS KEY'
Sogah went into carpentry apprenticeship agreement for a 3year apprenticeship. Sogah was a good apprentice until two and a half years into the study, he met Akuvi his 'love' Some love indeed. One Saturday morning, Akuvi passed through Senior Sogah's place because they did not meet on Friday night. Surprisingly, she met Sogah washing some clothes including some women's clothes. She was curious and questioned Sogah why he should was a woman's clothes; when she was told it's for his master's wife, she got angry and asked Sogah to stop. This was how Sogah was sacked from his apprenticeship. "STUPID LOVE" I will call this because Akuvi also left Sogah because he could not raise 'chop money' for him.
Somebody allows a group to influence him and his like to the extent that they track their head of state and kill him and call that 'FREEDOM?' Ha! Some freedom I do not envy at all. If there is one 'death' 'assassination' 'overthrow' or call it whatever that has hurt my heart in recent years, it is that of Brother Gadaffi. May his battered soul rest in perfect peace. The man who held Islam so high was not even given a befitting Islamic burial. Freedom indeed!
The small madness and big madness around the world will one day crush this world. The little things we all do or do not do will kill the world. Brothers and Sisters, think and think again before your next action. Good day or night.
Thank you my brother; how could I have left without talking about the insanity of David Cameron? He is culturally, mentally, religiously and psychologically insane. No Ghanaian will die because Cameron and his people have withdrawn their demonic aid. I love the woman and like my men around me. I can simply not imagine going to Tapa Amanya or anywhere within Biakoye to say that my sexual partner is same sex as myself. I guess I will be stoned to death. I asked Gyamfi during Akwantutenten to allow a male friend entry as a partner but he refused arguing that he knows I can never be gay. Thank God most Ghanaians are not gay and are not interested in his proposal and threats. Devil! Go away with your aid.
