It's been a while now. Over two months since a made my last statement on this platform. The nation and its surroundings were forced completely to talk about a subject I could say little about. Thank God today, that subject is meaningless to the ordinary Ghanaian. It is better late than never so I am back again to share with brothers and sisters, candid, honest and 'non-pretentious' thoughts that will contribute to building a Better Ghana.
Interestingly, a lot has gone under the carpet in Ghana within the last few months that I have been away. However, the interest of most people is in political issues aside religion. On the religious front, the mix reaction from Ghanaians following the release of Jesus One Touch is one issue I can not allow to pass without a comment. The lower court sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment and the higher court acquitted and discharged him. Is it a miracle? Imperfection of the human institution? Corruption in the judiciary? The heart of man is visible only by God. Whether he committed or not is a matter no longer for NGOs and people any longer. The Lord will deal with the rest. If he did not, woe unto the little girl and whoever coached her to do what she did.
I listened to Nana Kwaku Bonsam and Pastor Kumchacha on Adom 106.3fm. I called the two day interaction with Adakabre as the day of shame to Christendom. People like Kumchacha will always discourage lazy Christians and expose Christians to mockery. When the devil tested Christ, he asked the devil to go away and not dared him. Kumchacha dared Kwaku Bonsam and rather ran away.
In politics, a major event is on going.... Registration of voters. Second phase is ongoing. First phase of 10 days ended but not without some scattered violence. The second phase appears smoother.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo of the NPP finally also named Dr. Bawumia as his running mate. My wonder is why he had to wait this long; ask for more time if it is the same old running mate he was going for. Let's wait till Dec 7, to see how things go. Interesting times ahead.
Finally, Yaw Afari Kobra of Take Cool Two fame is getting married tomorrow at Tapa Amanya. Indeed, we have come a long way.
